Roger Hodenius

Who is Roger Hodenius?

Hodenius, born in 1972 and raised in Chevremont, has an interesting background and career. After completing his gymnasium education at College Rolduc in Kerkrade, he decided to study economics at Maastricht University. His passion for finance and trading eventually led him to co-found Flow Traders, a well-known proprietary trading firm. Before joining Flow Traders, he worked at the high-frequency trading firm Optiver.

New role

In 2020, Hodenius took on a new role at Flow Traders, where he now serves as a supervisory board member and shareholder. Despite no longer holding a majority stake in Flow Traders, he made a significant decision last year. He decided to sell a portion of his shares, which meant he could not benefit from the company's incredibly successful first quarter of 2020. This quarter was so successful that in August of that year, an interimdividend of €4 per share was paid out, which, at the share price at the time, resulted in a yield of approximately 12.5%. This was a remarkably high return in the world of investing.

Love for Roda JC saved the club

Although Hodenius was unable to fully capitalize on this financial success, he was not disappointed. Together with Stijn Koster and others, he decided to purchase the Limburg-based football club Roda JC. With this acquisition he secured the future of professional football in his home region. This demonstrates that Hodenius is not only interested in financial matters, but is also committed to promoting sports and creating opportunities for his home region.

Roger Hodenius's net worth
