Marc Brouwers (1963) made his fortune in 2007 when he sold his textile company, Bremtex, to Bencis Capital. In 2019, he struck gold again when his 50% stake in the Belgian textile firm Van der Erve was sold.
In a recent development, the municipality of Eindhoven has decided to assist textile entrepreneur Marc Brouwers by acquiring the De Wielewaal estate, which had been for sale for quite some time. The city council has decided to invest €29 million in the purchase of this vast 142-hectare estate, which is three times the size of Vondelpark.
The estate includes nine houses, including Brouwers' imposing residence, which covers an area of 2,582 square meters. With this decision, the municipality of Eindhoven hopes to contribute positively to Marc Brouwers' situation while simultaneously acquiring a valuable piece of land.
