Bernhard ten Brinke was born on September 6, 1977, in Zeddam and grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. He now lives with his wife, Chantal, and their children, Max, Thomas, and Charlotte, near the Montferland forests in the Achterhoek region. Bernhard is a true businessman and the owner of Wiggers, BTB Cars, BTB Real Estate, BTB Investments, and BTB Racing, and is the former owner of the family business Bribus Keuken.
His passion for rally racing began at a young age, which led to the founding of BTB Racing. With his years of experience, he is a familiar face in the world of rallying and the Dakar Rally. In 2004, Bernhard participated in his first Renault Clio Sport Cup as a non-junior driver. From 2006 onwards, he competed in various races across Europe. For instance, in 2006, 2007, and 2008, he drove in the Megane Trophy, which took place in locations including Belgium, Istanbul, Italy, and the Le Mans circuit. In 2006, he usually finished between tenth and twentieth place, but in 2007 and 2008, he performed better, finishing in the top ten in most races.
