Jeroen Lugte (1958) is a co-founder of Op Orde B.V. Op Orde provides an innovative software platform that allows organizations to report, observe, and record matters. Op Orde then handles the administrative processing of this information. In this way, Op Orde enables organizations to function more efficiently, simplifying and accelerating daily processes.
Jeroen Lugte earned his stripes at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration and the Municipality of Rotterdam, where he held various management positions. At both organizations, he focused on leveraging information technology to work more effectively. The experience he gained in these roles inspired Jeroen Lugte to found Op Orde in 2013.
After completing his degree in Dutch Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Jeroen Lugte began his career at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration in 1983. He remained there for over twenty years in various management roles, including serving as deputy head of the Business unit in Roosendaal and Amsterdam between 1997 and 2000. In 2000, he became head of the unit in Rijswijk. He then spent a year as a member of the management team of the FIOD-ECD, which consisted of 1,250 employees, before becoming General Director of Municipal Taxes for the Municipality of Rotterdam in 2003. At the time, the organization was dealing with backlogs and an outdated computer system. Lugte introduced a new way of working and contributed to the design of a new computer system. After four years, Municipal Taxes Rotterdam had become a leader in the Netherlands.
In 2008, Jeroen Lugte was approached by the Municipality of Rotterdam to work as General Director of City Supervision. His primary task was to professionalize the City Supervision department, which consisted of approximately 1,500 employees. In this capacity, he oversaw the replacement of the digital infrastructure by implementing a new mobile ICT system. These innovative reforms led Lugte to meetings of the OECD in Paris and TED in New York, where he was invited to explain the successful transformation of his department.
After working in the public sector for more than thirty years, Jeroen Lugte founded the software company Op Orde in 2013. At this company, he applies his extensive practical knowledge to create a more efficient work environment for organizations through innovative information technology . Op Orde facilitates the automation of procedures and connects office and field staff. It helps organizations grow by making optimal use of available expertise and encouraging it. Op Orde achieves this by implementing its time-saving digital platforms quickly and easily, specifically tailored to the needs of the organization and configured for accessibility.
