Geert Jan Bruinsma is a Dutch entrepreneur and former board member of Booking.com. He was born on August 5, 1967, in the Netherlands.
Bruinsma was one of the founders of Booking.com, an online travel agency established in 1996 under the name Bookings.nl. The company quickly grew into one of the largest players in the travel industry and was acquired by the American company Priceline in 2005. Bruinsma was involved with the company as Chief Operations Officer until 2003.
After leaving Booking.com, Bruinsma founded several other companies and is active as an investor in start-ups. He currently serves as a board member for the Dutch technology company Adyen and is the founder of the online company FinanceFox.
